Central to pursuing WSNs objectives, a National Skills Competition (NSC) was established in Namibia in 2016 as a TVET catalyst to ensure amongst others that:

  1. Local trainees and trainers are practically exposed to international best practices; local curriculum, and assessment and ensure alignment of training approaches to international standards.
  2. NTA uses the opportunity to foster and source collaborations with international experts, especially within the WSI member family, to help build local TVET capacity concerning curriculum and assessment development, training implementation, skills competition and other important areas.
  3. The country uses all learning platforms under WSI to ensure the professional development of critical personnel in charge of TVET both at NTA and training management delivery levels.
